"Su Coccu" in Obsidian

"Su Coccu" is the quintessential Sardinian amulet. The original model, like this one, is made of obsidian and adorned with silver filigree details. Tradition holds that "Su Coccu" frees its bearer from negative energies, and once it becomes saturated, it breaks in half. This limited series of "Cocchi" is crafted from genuine obsidian from Monte Arci. Obsidian is a volcanic glass found abundantly in the Oristano region (in Sardinia, Italy), and it has been used since the Nuragic period to make arrowheads and hunting tools.
